Q and A
How do I find the church?
Peterhead Baptist is found on King Street in Peterhead. Our address is 49 King Street, Peterhead, AB42 1TA .
By local public transport, there are several busses that stop at the bottom of King Street. Unfortunately, the nearest train station is quite some distance away, in Aberdeen!
How long do Sunday services last?
Our services last approximately one hour. At the end of our service we have a cup of tea/coffee in our church hall for anyone who wishes to stay. This would be a great opportunity for you to get to know us better and we'd love to have you join us.
Is there plenty of parking?
Parking is available on the street and in designated areas.
Is there disabled access to the Church?
People with disabilities are very welcome. We have easy access through the main door of the church as well as a disabled toilet.
What time do I need to arrive?
To allow yourself time to find your way and get settled we would recommend you arrive between 10 and 15 minutes before the service starts.
What happens when I arrive?
When you arrive you will be welcomed by one of our members. The layout of the church makes it easy to get around and there are always plenty of people who will be happy to help you find your way. Don't be afraid to ask; it's a great way to meet people. There are no reserved seats so feel free to sit wherever you feel most comfortable.
Do I need to bring any money?
During the service we take up an offering from our regular congregation towards the ongoing work of the church and our support of Christian mission and compassion.
Please do not feel obliged to contribute if you are visiting. However, if you do decide to give to the work of Peterhead Baptist and are a UK tax payer, we can reclaim the tax you have paid on your gift, by completing a gift aid form.
What should I wear?
When you come and spend some time with us at Peterhead Baptist we want you to feel comfortable and at ease.
You will see adults and children wearing everything from jeans and t-shirts to suits and ties so please don't feel you need to "dress up", just come as you are.
Will there be something for my children?
Our children's club, Bible Explorers, takes place during the church service at 10.30am on Sunday mornings.
Créche facilities are available for babies and toddlers.
What if I want to find out more?
If you have any other questions that are not answered here please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
